Wow I can’t believe he is almost 2 years old. I want him to stay little forever.
Whenever he is hard, as babies (he still is my baby!) are, his Dad – with a wave of his hand says “turn 10!”
Every stage is my favorite. The baby stage is so sweet and the cuddling and dependancy is a beautiful thing, but yes, it is nice when they get a little older and start becoming more independent. I have to face it now. I no longer have a baby… I love you my little/big guy!
Won’t these be so cute for my little preschoolers class and to send to Grandmas?
My inspiration was from Designaglow contributor, Ashleyann. I love all of her crafts and her style! Sometimes it is just easier to copy a great idea instead of taking the time to figure one out on my own… which may take days! This was such a great idea and we sure had fun taking the pictures.
I created an 8X12 project in Photoshop CS4. I always double the size I will actually print the picture as when I send it to Costco or any other “non-professional” printer. I’ve had bad luck with my resolution if I don’t. Maybe I don’t need to, but that seemed to fix my resolution problems. So I actually sent this to be printed as a 4X6 (doubled 8X12). Does that make sense? Each picture will print as a 2X2, but I created them as 4X4’s in photoshop. I hope that helps anyone that wants to make these for their kids. Oh and I just noticed I have typos. Great! hmmm… I’m not a perfectionist so I guess they will do 🙂
Then I will cut them, hot glue them in order onto ribbon and tie them up for each of his friends as seen here. Happy Valentine crafting!
Amazingly the only day my family could get together for a family picture in the week we were in Utah was only on Christmas. I was so bummed there wasn’t snow. Guess what came on the 26th? Oodles of snow! I liked how this turned out though. I sure love my family. It was a memorable Christmas this year with Grandma being with us and my Dad healthy.
Doesn’t this family need to be in a GAP add or something? I love all their accessories! My husband works with this new Dad. I have absolutely loved getting to know them. I only wish they lived closer. I was so glad to do their pictures again. And of course they brought the cutest clothes and hats which always give pictures a fun look. The top was their Christmas card photo which I loved!
And I loved the pictures with Grandpa and Grandma. This is their first grandchild.
II can’t say enough about my husbands family. I feel so blessed to have married into such a fun family that loves each other and treats each other with such kindness. Every single person in this picture has amazing talents. I am so grateful for the role models I have to look up to. They all live life to the fullest. Love you guys.
I gave away a photoshoot to help fund a trip for local surgeons to travel to Africa to perform surgeries for women. I have not heard from the winner that bought the photoshoot. If you won please contact me at Jenniferbarnesphotography@gmail.com
I love the little town we live by. Alliyah & Ty go to spanish school in this downtown camas area. On Wednesday they had the “Boo Bash” where hundreds of kids went trick or treating to all the shops downtown. I could not believe so many kids went. It is the thing to do here. Very fun. This is the lake by our house that has 6 miles of running trails all around.
We stayed in a yurt on the Washington coast. I was so excited. That was something I’ve wanted to do. I heard about yurts on the coast a couple years ago. It was the best camping. We had heat at night! That is one of the only things I dislike about camping – the shivering that takes place. All of us slept great.
The 3 brave people in my life going to boogie board in the freezing ocean in mid-October at 7:30am. My heros! You guys are truly the most awesome kids ever! And the Dad, well that is one reason I love him so much. Mr. Adventure.
These are my sweet neighbors. We decided to take pictures right here in the neighborhood. The view is at the top of the neighborhood overlooking the Columbia river. I loved their 2 year old and the fun he had with the flowers.
I’m going to start showing a little bit of crafty things on this blog too. Why not. That is definitely one of my passions too. So here is the invite to our Halloween party this weekend, minus anything too personal like address and phone numbers. We are looking forward to it. My friend, Tracey, thought of it and asked if she could throw a party at my house. Well, but of course! If you know the Barnes you know we like to get people together. Tracey is doing all the games. I’ll let you know what we end up doing.
This new little guy was the best baby I have ever taken pictures of! He is half chinese which gives him the most beautiful skin and eyes. He has his Dad’s eyes and his mommas great lips. He is sure to be a stud! I’m so glad I got to take pictures of him. It was a very fun photo shoot. I love when moms are so fun and laid back. I was very impressed with this first-time mom. She just had fun with the shoot and I think babies can tell if there is stress in the room. No stress here = happy pictures! He was born in the year of the tiger. What a fun shot.
I thought I would show off the canvas cluster I had printed last month. I had simply canvas do the canvas pieces above the stairs. The big picture is 32X20, (2) 16X20, (3) 10X10’s. They did a fabulous job printing them and mounting them on the really thick frame. I had chocolate brown printed around the sides on each print. \ I loved the pictures we had taken with Kate and had a hard time choosing, and since I wanted my office to be decorated with bright vibrant colors I decided to go with this cluster of 9 8X8’s. I had it printed with prodigital photos who I love! They have great papers and products. I had them printed on gator board, which is a black foam core. I stuck them on the wall with 3M picture stickers. Voila!!
Well I’ve started taking pictures again. I took quite the break, but am ready to start taking again. I have a few photo shoots next week and will be posting new pictures (finally!!) on the blog. Thanks for continuing to follow me and hope I will have some fun new photos to post soon.
If you are looking into my work to see if I would work well for your family please see the photoshoots posted in May or earlier. Also my website has some galleries that might be helpful.
Thank you to Peekaboo Photography for taking these images of my kiddos. I believe whole heartedly that other people can take better pictures of kids than their own mother! At least that is what I have found with my experiences. Kate is my most favorite photographer out there. I was so excited to have her take pictures of my little ones. I have a lot more, so many cute ones, posted on my private blog, but had to share a few on the photo blog.
Our table and food were inspired by Amy Atlas, the wonderful party girl from NY. We also had a yummy dinner for everyone – not just desserts, but that table isn’t as fun as the dessert table. Enjoy. I love making people I love feel special on their birthdays!
Mom and us twins 🙂 My sis and I were so happy the way the party went.
